Today I'm Wearing.........

Have a peek inside Amber Le Bon's wardrobe. Amber likes to wear a mishmash of her own clothes and of Yasmin's from her good old modelling days. Today I'm Wearing features on Vogue.com where they take a different model and follow what they wear every day for a month. Kinda cool. Click above to see Amber.

I Dress So Fresh So Clean................

Love this Christopher Kane dress and how Yasmin Sewell (Liberty London's creative director)takes it and makes it so polished but edgy at the same time with those Acne boots.

Una Burkes Re.Treat............

I did a double take as I walked by the window of Chesneau today at lunch. Much to my delight there was an amazing piece of Una Burkes Re.Treat collection in the window and on further inspection another amazing one inside. I never thought I would get to see it in the flesh. The sales girl inside told me that Una had actually worked with Chesneau alongside Edmound, the leather craftsman who founded the company and it is there for Dublin's Fashion Festival. Una graduated from the Limerick school of Design in 2003 and went on do an MA in Fashion Artefact in London where she now resides. Her collection was designed to depict eight human gestures associated with the cause, the physical and psychological effect and the healing stages of human trauma.

A number of pieces are reminiscent of prosthetics and medical braces. Her work has caught the eye of many female celebrities with GaGa commissioning work from her for her next tour. The great thing about this collection is that even though it is essentially an art piece it can be worn and in that respect it has really captivated people. I was really glad to have this visual treat today. My first of Dublin Fashion Festival. Get thee to Wicklow Street asap and have a look for yourself......

JW Anderson

Another fabulous export of ours, this Northern Irish native has accomplished a lot for his mere 25 years. He is making some serious waves at the moment in fashion. Specialising in menswear this A/W was his first womenswear collection. Called Saints and Sinners it was quite a punky look with lots of tartan, cable knits, and heavy workwear boots. His idea for the collection was that it could be unisex, that it was the attire of lovers who interchanged and shared their clothes. Not many people know this but JW was studying to be an actor in Washington in 2001 and it was here he found his love of theater attire. He also was a stylist for the artist Rufus Wainright before returning to London to study fashion design. You can buy his designs at Liberty

Winter is Nigh.....

The only thing I look forward to with an impending Irish winter is the chance to wrap up in great woolly jumpers. Winter dressing is a lot more fun than summer dressing with all those extra layers you get to play with different textures like wool ,silks and cashmere, tweeds and jaquard.I love the feel and styling of this editorial for Vogue China 2010 by Josh Ollins.

Frances Bean Cobain

Frances Bean is turning into quite the fashionable lady. She recently on her 18th birthday inherited 40% of her late fathers estate making her a very rich kid overnight. There has been a very public bust up between Frances and her Mum Courtney of late. Some say it is because of Courtney's erratic behaviour others say it's because of Kurt's family's interference.Either way lets hope they make friends soon...... Frances is the spitting image of her Mum and has definitely inherited her sense of style. Courtney may look a little rough around the edges in the past few years but she was totally hot when she was younger. She has become a style icon to many young stars like Mary Kate Olsen and Taylor Momsen who have modelled their grungy look on her.

Transforming Accessories.....

Your accessories can really transform an outfit or sometimes even be the outfit. Here is one uber expensive one I love and one really great inexpensive one too. Because of my line of work I have become fussy with the quality of fabrics and now tend to save for something more expensive not necessarily because it looks better but usually because the fabric and cut are better and the item lasts longer. If you have a good eye you can sometimes spot things on the highstreet that really look a lot more than their price and have the craft of something more designer. I think this feather collar really shows this.

This ring is from one of my favourite jewellery lines at the moment ManiaMania. It is to die for.If you know me and love me this is what I want for Christmas!

Next are doing a feather cape exactly like this one for only Euro 25. They have been coming up with some great fashion recently. Their bags are also very good at the moment.

Death Stitch Jacket .........

A leather jacket to die for by Rebecca Minkoff. Buttersoft lambskin with incredible stitching detail.
I want! It has been reduced to Euro 500 on Asos. A girl can always dream......

The Supers........

I am a little obsessed with the Supers at the moment. Here is a great vid showing their fabulous world when these models reigned supreme. See Christy Turlington dictating what she won't do for the Dior show. A snippet of Karl pre weight loss discussing why he won't go to the exhibition because of his dislike of the then French Vogue editor Joan Juliet Buck. And Galliano at his best. What a different world fashion was then. Enjoy!

Minimarket Fall 2010

Here are some images from Minimarket's Fall 2010 lookbook. The bold tribal makeup is very effective.Started by three Stockholm sisters Sophia, Pernilla and Jennifer Elvestedt in 2006, this Swedish label has catapulted onto the fashion radar in recent times. Known for their minimilism, colourblocking and fantastic wedges this label shows us how to best dress in effortless Swedish style. Now you can buy Minimarket shoes on Asos. Check out their website to find out about the world of Minimarket and have a peek at their amazing sunglasses too!

Shearling Shearling Everywhere

There is no denying this trend for Autumn/ Winter 2010. Its everywhere! Burberry Prorsum have championed the look with their amazing inside out shearling jackets and boots. It has now filtered down to the highstreet with everyone from Next to Asos doing copies of jackets, boots and even accessories. How cute is this little Topshop rucksack for euro 75. Their sheepskin coat is selling out everytime it's back in stock.
I had to smile when on the train my boyfriend pointed out all the sheared sheep in fields along our journey. Thats to make all those lovely coats for us this winter I thought!

Cindy Is Still Working It...

Cindy Crawford is looking seriously hot in this image shot for the ad campaign of Russian luxury store called Tsum. It's crazy to think the supers that wouldn't get out of bed for less than $10,000 in the 90's are still making a living from modelling into their forties. They may not be walking the runway anymore but these famous ladies are still appearing everywhere in ad campaigns and editorials. Think of Kate Moss as the face of Longchamp, Cavalli and Versace campaigns, Linda Evangelista recently in a campaign for Talbots, Naomi being the face for hip label D Squared and Claudia Schiffer being the muse of Chanel appearing in campaign after campaign. In a career where your normally finished at twenty that is serious longevity.

Lanvin for H&M

There will be a campsite of fashionistas outside H&M this 23rd November when they launch it's collaborative collection with Lanvin. When Albert Elbaz made the announcement I have to admit I squealed a little! A french label with a long history as a couture house Albert promises to bring luxury to H&M instead of making Lanvin public. Expect his signature bow ties for men and amazing cocktail dresses for the girls.
