Steve Mc Curry Photography exhibition

A National Geographic photographer since the 80's Steve McCurry is known for his evocative use of colour photography. His career was launched when, disguised as a native he crossed the Pakistan border into rebel-controlled Afghanistan just before the Russian invasion. When he emerged, he had rolls of film sewn into his clothes of images that would be published around the world, the first to show the conflict there. His coverage won the Robert Capa Gold Medal for Best Photographic Reporting from Abroad. His images are truly beautiful and he allows you to travel back in time, to an exotic place, to that very second and learn the essence of his subject.
Please if you get a chance visit The Gallery Of Photography Meeting House Square, Temple Bar, Dublin where his work will be exhibited until the 24th April.
